Christy Christie in the News!

WFA member, Cristy Christie (no relation, but she is a good worm pal of mine!), was recently on a local news show in her region (in California) talking about worms and vermicomposting!

It’s been awesome watching as Cristy has built her vermicomposting business from the ground up in the last year or so, and I can’t help but feel like a bit of a “proud papa” knowing I played a small role in helping her along.

If you want to learn more about Cristy, be sure to check out her interview on the Red Worm Composting website:

  1. Thanks Bentley! It was great fun, even though I had to get up at 3:30 AM to get to the set on time. Wow…and news people do this daily! Yikes…

There were actually 4 short segments that were shot during the 5-7 am news hour. Each 5-minute segment was different. I’ve put 3 of them on my website, have one more left to upload.

I would encourage anyone in the business, large or small, to get noticed by the local TV folks. They LOVE this type of story! And if you think you’ll be camera shy, you really won’t! Most times there is just the journalist and a camera. So it’s like talking to a potential customer! You simply tell your story, like we do every day! And the exposure reaches far and wide!

And Ted, thanks for the compliment…it runs in my family! My uncle is Jimmy Weldon and does the voice of Webster Webfoot. He’s all over YouTube and is a fabulous motivational speaker! At 87, he’s truly an inspirational model!
